About Me

Certified coaching, built on a clinical, physiology-based foundation.

My name is Bobby O'Brien, and I'm a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I'm the founder and head coach of Optimize Lives, where I help working men lose stubborn belly fat and optimize their health without counting or restricting a single calorie.

Why my approach is different

I understand the frustration of trying unsustainable methods that never deliver lasting results. That frustration is what drove me deeper than most coaches ever go. My obsession with health optimization led me to study under my father, a licensed medical doctor with over 40 years of clinical experience, who served as my mentor and advisor. For five years I studied anatomy, physiology, insulin regulation, and circadian biology under his mentorship.

That combination is the whole point: certified, professional coaching paired with a clinical, physiology-based foundation most online coaches simply don't have. The knowledge I gained working alongside him is passed directly to my clients through a personalized, hormonal-based approach that addresses the root cause of weight gain, not the symptoms.

Do I have to count calories or follow a restrictive diet?
